STAY HEALTHY THIS WINTER SEASON This is cold and flu season. Keep your family members healthy with these tips... Flu shots can be a life saver for the elderly, children, and diabetics. Check your local health clinic or health care facility for availability of flu shots. Wash your hands frequently and properly. Medical professionals recommend a 20-second scrub. Keep your fingers away from your mouth, nose, or eyes. Most viruses are passed through direct contact. Stock up on soup. Warm soups provide relief from the symptoms of colds or flu. Eat healthy including lots of fruits and vegetables. Exercise at least 30 minutes per day source-Healthy Horizons, Winter 2008 |
