BUSINESS IS SLOWLY IMPROVING
Customer orders are increasing.  Our two largest customers, Weiler and Sargent Art, are keeping us working most days.  We continue to have some down time when they run put of parts to complete orders.

Slow sales in the early months of this year forced CTC to cut staff and find other ways to cut expenses.  We were overdue to take some cost cutting steps to stay competitive and remain in business.

Our fiscal year ends on June 30th.  We will end the year with a sizable loss due to a combination of factors.  The loss of work orders because of the recession, the cost of installing a new heating system, the need to replace the engine in our largest bus all contributed to deficit spending.  We also experienced the depletion of our reserve funds due to market fluctuations.  Salary reductions and staff layoffs have helped to reduce overhead costs.  We will need to continue to be diligent in finding creative ways to increase revenues while improving productivity and reducing expenses.

Next year we celebrate our 40th anniversary.
Rex Birnbaum - This years CTC nominee for the PIBH Netti Mann Award
Rex Birnbaum was nominated by CTC for this year's PIBH Netti Mann Award.  This award is given to an individual who has worked the hardest to achieve a measure of dignity and self-esteem and accomplished the most individual progress on PIBH contract work.  Rex was not selected to win the award, but all nominees recieve special recognition and attend the Nettie Mann Awards Dinner in Harrisburg on June 9th as guests of PIBH.  Rex will recieve a plaque and $100 gift for being nominated,
AGGIE SCHWEIBINZ GONE, BUT NOT FORGOTTEN

Aggie worked at CTC for 38 years.  She was one of a handful of workers who had worked at CTC for nearly the entire time we have been in business.  Aggie had many friends at CTC who will miss seeing her at work.

Health problems made coming to work difficult for Aggie, but she kept trying.  Aggie Schweibinz, gone after 38 years of employment at CTC, but not forgotten.
AUTO DONATED
Mrs. Gertrude Bloom recently donated a 1994 Buick Lesabre to CTC.  The car has only 40,000 miles and is in excellent condition.

Thank you Mrs. Bloom for your generosity.  This car will be put to good use at CTC.
